Introduction 

1. Paul’s Encouragement: He praises the church at Philippi for the act of giving (v.14a)
2. Paul’s Elaboration: He proceeds to explain to them specifically how their acts of giving have been such a blessing to him (v.14b--16) 
3. Paul’s End (or Purpose) for Philippi: Paul further explains his ultimate reason for taking their gift (v.17)
